Talking versus action

How do we make the connection between talking about problems and addressing them through the systems and institutions in our society?

We talk about homelessness, food deserts, poor nutrition, poor dental and health care, and we can see those issues under our noses.  How does change begin?

Local data drives local policy decisions, as The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky shows in its Kentucky Health Facts http://www.kentuckyhealthfacts.org/.

At the grassroots level, the local Touched Twice Health Clinic to be held May 18 from 10-2 at St. Paul Methodist Church in the Highlands of Louisville may potentially screen 150 people in the community who need health and dental care.  Food and clothes are still needed.
